Straperetana, contemporary art in the doorway to Abruzzo. Presentation of the catalogue of the first five editions

Description

The presentation of the catalogue that traces the experience of the first five years of straperetana, a project conceived by Paola Capata and Delfo Durante, started in 2017 in the village of Pereto (Abruzzo), curated by Saverio Verini with the collaboration of the artist Matteo Fato.

Alongside the founders and curators, also two artists who, in different editions, participated in straperetana Valerio Nicolai and Andrea Respino, will take part in the conversation.

The presentation of the book is intended to be a way to tell about the experience of this art project that was conceived in Pereto, a small village in the province of L’Aquila, located less than an hour’s drive from Rome: an event that has grown through time, which over five editions has seen the participation of nearly 100 artists, including established and emerging authors, invited to dialogue with an unusual and original context, capable of generating unpredictable sparks.

Speakers: PAOLA CAPATA (straperetana co-founder, Monitor Gallery founder), MATTEO FATO (artist), VALERIO NICOLAI (artist), ANDREA RESPINO (artist), SAVERIO VERINI (curator)
