EventItalian industrial civilisation between art and economy

Italian industrial civilisation between art and economy

Description

This discussion arises from the synergy between Tosetti Value Family office and the Italian Pavilion at the Art Biennale 2022 and is part of the programme “Prospettive. The Economy of Images”, a cycle of meetings and specific projects that the Family office has been carrying on for years in the strong belief that the interaction between art and economy is a powerful mechanism to understand reality.

A dialogue on Italian industry with one of its leading experts, Paolo Bricco, special correspondent of Sole 24 Ore and author of the essays ‘Marchionne lo straniero’ (Rizzoli, 2018) and ‘AO. Adriano Olivetti un italiano del Novecento” (Rizzoli, 2022), and the artist Gian Maria Tosatti, who returned a monumental photograph of the italian industry at the Italian Pavilion of the Venice Biennale, with the work Storia della Notte e Destino delle Comete curated by Eugenio Viola.

Two different views on the history of Italian industrial civilisation, from enlightened models of corporate welfare to the industry 4.0 best-in-class, starting from the strongly evocative symbolic landscape of Gian Maria Tosatti, archaeologist of the present.

A special thanks goes to the Lia Rumma Gallery and the entire Artissima Team for their precious collaboration.

Presented by: GIULIA TOSETTI (Tosetti Value – Il Family office – Art Division Manager)
