Investigation on Klee, the well-tempered genius

He was called the wizard of the Bauhaus, Buddha or even the Good Lord. Who Paul Klee really was and why did he describe himself as uncatchable?

He was one of the most important artist of the Nineteenth century and certainly one of the most appreciated: his art reaches everyone, it enchants children as long as philosophers, who have written a lot about him.He painted ten thousand pieces, experimenting, creating new technics, using different languages, always reinventing himself: he was abstract and figurative, he was called post-cubist, surrealist, expressionist, but no definition can surround him.He said he was ‘uncatchable’. And somehow so it is.

Speakers: GREGORIO BOTTA (Artist), OLGA GAMBARI (Independent curator, art critic and journalist) and ANDREA VILIANI (Director Museo delle Civiltà)

Language: italian
